In reply to Al. No, the sorting will affect everything. The idea with this guide is that you want to sort by a single column first, then by another column. The whole dataset is sorted, not just the column.

Are you saying that if I sort, say, a 10 column spreadsheet in various ways, multiple times selecting just three columns for the sort, all the row data across the other 7 columns will not be sorted along with the row data in the three columns thus losing the connection between the data in the three columns and the associated data in the other seven columns? Wow, that would be a disaster for a large spreadsheet. How would you ever get it back to the original state?
